iCarizon Delivers Crew, Offshore Management Support, and Catering Services for FPSO P-79 Bound for Brazil’s Búzios Field.
The successful departure of the FPSO Petrobras 79 from Hanwha Ocean Shipyard in Geoje, South Korea, marks another major milestone in Brazil’s ambitious pre-salt oil development programme. As one of the latest additions to Petrobras’ Búzios field fleet, this project represents a continued expansion of deepwater energy capabilities and iCarizon was integral in ensuring its smooth execution.
Built and integrated by Hanwha Ocean with topside modules constructed by Saipem, the FPSO P-79 is among the most sophisticated production units in Petrobras’ portfolio. Through close collaboration with ISS Korea and ISS Singapore – the appointed agents of Petrobras, the vessel has commenced its voyage from Korea and is scheduled to make transits through Singapore and Mauritius before arriving in Brazil’s Búzios oilfield to join its predecessors, including the P-78.
iCarizon’s involvement encompassed the entire project from comprehensive crewing and crew management, offshore operations coordination, procurement of ship stores and provisions to catering for the entire vessel. Working closely with client representatives and the onboard technical crew, iCarizon was able to ensure seamless alignment of operational objectives, technical requirements, and logistical readiness throughout the pre-sail and mobilisation phases.
From recruiting and deploying qualified crew to managing offshore catering, spares, and consumables, iCarizon’s support extended across every aspect of the FPSO’s human and operational lifecycle. The team played a pivotal role in coordinating between client and contractor to maintain safety, schedule, and operational integrity as the vessel prepared for its long deployment in Brazilian waters.
This successful delivery once again highlights iCarizon’s growing expertise in large-scale offshore mobilisations and underscores its ongoing commitment to safety, operational excellence, and collaborative execution across the global maritime and energy industries.
